A letter to host family

Hi, my name is Shoko. Please call me Shoko.
I will tell you about myself. I am 19 years old. I like eating, activity, watching movie, driving, sea, and I really like a sunny day. I don’t like insects, staying put, rainy.
I would like to tell you about myself in detail. I am studying English in my college. The reason I am majoring in English is because I have been interested in it since I was a junior high-school student. However I can’t speak English well. Thus I would like to correct my grammatical mistakes.
Next, I love sports. In particular, I like soccer, dancing, swimming, basketball and baseball. I have played soccer from the time I was 10 to when I was 17. I joined a girls soccer team. Now, I take dancing lessons twice a week in studio near my house. I like hip-hop, popping, locking and jazz.
As I have mentioned before, I like activity. However I like homeliness too. I like cook, washing a dishes and needlecraft. I am good at making meat and potatoes. Do you know meat and potatoes? In Japanese, it is called “ nikujaga”. This is a Japanese dish. If I may, I would like to make it for you. I am sure that you will like it. If you want me to help with housework, I’m willing to help you. You can ask me to do anything that you need done.
I would like to tell about my family. There are 5 people in total: my parents, my older sister and older brother. My older sister and older brother are kind to me, so I like them. Of course, I like my parents too. I have only an older sister and an older brother, but I love children. If there are children in your house, I am very glad.
Finally, I have a question. I would like to know how many people are in your family because I will bring some presents.
This is my first time visiting abroad. I’m looking forward to my stay. Thank you for reading.
From Shoko.
